ARTIOS Grass (Rake) Brush, Size 4

A rake brush has its bristles cut into separated clumps, so one stroke lays down several fine parallel lines at once. It is the fastest way to paint grass, fur, hair, wood grain and foliage texture without drawing every line by hand.

Handmade with cruelty-free synthetic bristles, a rust-proof crimped ferrule and a lacquered wooden handle. Available with a brown or matte black handle.

• Dry brush texture over a dried layer

How to use it

• Load lightly. Too much paint fills the gaps between the clumps and the brush behaves like a flat.
• Work with the tip, not the belly, and vary the pressure along the stroke.
• Keep a second rake dry for softening edges.

Care

• Rinse before the paint sets, then reshape the clumps with your fingers.
• Dry flat or tip down. Never leave the brush standing in water.
